CHUANG Ling Born in Guizhou, China in 1938, Chuang graduated with a degree in forestry. Influenced by his family, he got into contact with still photography in high school and filmmaking in college. He started to make documentary films in 1962 and won an award in news films. He was once the president for the Association for Photographic Education of ROC. He co-founded a journal about theater with fellow artists to introduce western avant-garde films and promote artistic creations.
